Options are a major part of the derivatives market and as we’ll see can be used for either pure trading or managing risk in the financial markets.
You’ll learn about the different types of options known as calls and puts from both a buyer and seller perspective starting with basic definitions. We’ll show you how to draw option payoff profiles so that you can work out profit and loss on option positions you’ll become comfortable with. At the end of the session you should be fully conversent with the four main option payoff profiles and how to describe and interpret them.
